Abstract

Abstract—Academic dishonesty is a critical concern within
the education system, often associated with students attempting
to gain unfair advantages. However, there is a growing need
to acknowledge the potential for academic dishonesty among
lecturers during the examination marking process. This research
paper aims to shed light on the hidden side of academic dishonesty by exploring the factors that contribute to the potential misconduct of lecturers during examination marking. The study investigates the motives, methods, and consequences of such dishonest practices and discusses the implications for maintaining the integrity of the academic assessment process.
